A detailed study of the Santa Marta province in what is now Columbia, including a chapter on the Guajira (Wayuu) language. The Wayuu language, or Goajiro is spoken by 305,000 indigenous Wayuu people in northwestern Venezuela and northeastern Colombia on the Juajira Peninsula. Wayuu is one of the major Arawakan languages. there are minimal differences depending on the region of La Guajira in which speakers live. Most of the younger generations speak Spanish fluently. the extinct Guanebucan language may actually have been a dialect of Wayuu.

Marca de fuego of the Seminario Conciliar of Zacatecas, Mexico (TAMU-9011) on top edge. Spine heal chipped, corners bumped and heavily rubbed, marginal working to a few leaves, front inner hinge cracked, spine lettering faded, some spotting to vellum else a very good copy.
