The author's second book, one of six Fitzgerald-esque novels written before turning his hand at crime fiction. The story of a rich, beautiful flapper who decides to give a try living life in the raw. She marries a poor chauffeur, and their roles are reversed when her family loses their money and he wins $50,000 at the racetrack.
Children of the Ritz was made into a 1929 synchronized sound drama film from First National Pictures. While the film has no audible dialog, it was released with a synchronized musical score with sound effects using the Vitaphone sound-on-disc process. The film stars Dorothy Mackaill and Jack Mulhall. The plot is based on a Cornell Woolrich story.

Volume leaning, spine faintly darkened, extremities rubbed, rear board scuffed; date and previous owner's name to front free endpaper, leaves gently toned with age, small dampstain to rear free endpaper. Moderate wear and chipping to jacket, spine toned, folds rubbed, inner flaps and rear panel soiled, large chip (1" x 3/4") to spine heal else about very good in a good jacket.
