The information gathered in this study was based on field work done in two visits in 1928 and 1929. The Sinkyone [Kaikomas] are an Athabascan tribe living in southern Humboldt and northwestern Mendocino counties. At the time of the study only three full blooded Sinkyone survived, and of those, two died before this paper was published. Some of the sections are: subsistence, manufactures; houses; dress; pregnancy and birth; property and inheritance; mythology.
