Julia Buttree spent years among the Indians collecting material. Seton is well known for his accurate knowledge of Indian Art and his contribution adds materially to its importance. There is a complete synoptic index, a bibliography of Indian lore, songs listed according to tribes, and an alphabetical list of songs and graded list of dances. The book is divided into four parts: I. Indian Dancing; II. Indian Songs and Music; III. Indian Ceremonies; and IV. Indian Art.
