This report is an outgrowth of a summer field training program for graduate students in anthropology directed by the writer and sponsored by the Office of Special Projects, Division of Scientific Personnel and Education of the National Science Foundation. The investigations in the Pyramid of the Sun reported on here resulted from a suggestion by Bruce Drewitt. In the Spring of 1959, Drewitt, then a graduate student of the University of California, Berkeley, suggested that it might be profitable during the projected summer training program at Teotihuacan to examine the tunnel system in the Pyramid of the Sun of possible signs of interior structures of earth.
Corners rubbed and chipped, wrappers sunned, spine ends chipped, dampening to pages a good copy.
